Summary of Panamaram Grama Panchayat Budget 2026–27
The 2026–27 financial year budget of Panamaram Grama Panchayat gives priority to sustainable development, infrastructure development, social welfare, agriculture, tourism, healthcare, and environmental protection. The Panchayat aims to implement people-friendly projects through participatory planning and transparent governance.
Major development projects proposed under the budget include town beautification as part of the “Sundaramaya Panamaram” project, modernization of the bus stand, construction of a modern stadium and children’s park, establishment of a BUDS school and rehabilitation centre for differently-abled children, housing projects, drinking water schemes, tourism development, women and child welfare programmes, and waste-free Panchayat initiatives.
The budget also focuses on strengthening the agricultural sector and supporting farmers through subsidies, irrigation projects, insurance protection, and the promotion of modern farming methods. An amount of ₹1 crore has been allocated for agricultural development, while ₹8 crore has been earmarked for housing projects under the LIFE Mission and other schemes.
Special importance has been given to healthcare, elderly care, women empowerment, nutrition programmes, fitness centres, and welfare activities for differently-abled persons. Tourism development projects centred around the Panamaram River aim to promote eco-tourism and local economic growth.
The budget also includes initiatives for waste management, carbon-neutral development, digitization of assets, property tax reforms, and strengthening employment guarantee schemes.
For the financial year 2026–27, the Panchayat estimates a total revenue of ₹70.97 crore and a total expenditure of ₹69.96 crore. The Panchayat expects a closing balance of approximately ₹1.01 crore.
